For the first time ever, Sully Erna and Aaron Lewis, two of the most acclaimed frontmen in rock--the voices of multiplatinum rock bands Godsmack and Staind--will perform their hits together, side-by-side, in an intimate and unplugged evening on The American Drive-In Tour, kicking off in October. It’s one of the first 2020 live rock concert tours planned across multiple cities, and promises a once-in-a-lifetime event for fans, featuring a special evening of hits, covers and conversation with Aaron and Sully appearing together on stage.

Aaron Lewis:

Known for his outspokenness, impassioned live show and Outlaw Country tunes, Aaron Lewis’ recent album, the Buddy Cannon-produced State I’m In (The Valory Music Co.) is the follow-up to Sinner, which went to No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums, Top 200 Albums, and Top Digital Albums Charts upon release chart and blasts through today’s Country music doldrums like a shot of 100-proof whiskey, with the singer making zero compromises with either himself or the restrictions of a format that seems to have abandoned its rougher tendencies in favor of pop and ‘70s rock inclinations largely lacking in grit. Lewis, who fronts the wildly-successful rock group Staind, has sold 17 million albums worldwide and four consecutive top three debuts on Billboard’s Top 200, including the single “It’s Been Awhile,” which remains the most-played rock song of the decade.

Sully Erna

Founder, vocalist, guitarist and songwriter for the multi-platinum rock band Godsmack, Sully Erna released his latest solo album Hometown Life in 2016 via BMG. Composed by Sully on piano and acoustic guitar and produced in his New Hampshire studio, Hometown Life offers a departure from the tribal, world music feel and experimentation on 2010’s Avalon. Hometown Life’s 10 songs are more accessible, sonically and musically precise. Godsmack stand strong as 21st century hard rock titans. With an unbreakable spirit and die-hard work ethic evocative of their hometown, the Boston quartet fought hard to secure a place in music history since first smashing their way on to the scene in 1998. To date, they’ve notched a staggering eleven #1 singles at mainstream rock radio, including “Awake,” “Straight Out of Line,” “Cryin’ Like A Bitch,” and “I Stand Alone.” In May 2020, Godsmack’s track “Unforgettable” became the fourth #1 rock track from their latest album When Legends Rise (BMG). This accomplishment makes Godsmack one of only four rock acts to reach this achievement. Moreover, they’ve enjoyed 24 Top 10 hits at the format-the most of any act since February 1999-as well as four Grammy nominations, and were winners of The Billboard Music Awards Rock Artists of the Year in 2001. Selling over 20 million records worldwide, the band has also unleashed three consecutive albums at #1 on the Billboard Top 200-namely Faceless [2003], IV [2006], and The Oracle [2010]. This places them in league with Van Halen, U2, Metallica, Dave Matthews Band, and Linkin Park who have also enjoyed the same streak. Moreover, the accomplishment on the road remains staggering with headlining sets around the world.
