The Beach Boys

The Beach Boys concert, originally scheduled for Friday, August 21st at the McGrath Amphitheatre, has been cancelled. Ticket holders may request a refund at their point of purchase. Guests who purchased their tickets online through Ticketmaster.com, charge-by-phone or at the U.S. Cellular Center ticket office with a credit card will receive and automatic refund. Due to a high volume of cancellations, you should expect to receive your refund in as soon as 30 days.

“Cedar Rapids has once again been hit hard by Mother Nature. We had hoped to move forward with the Beach Boys show scheduled for this Friday,” said Michael Silva, executive director of VenuWorks Cedar Rapids. “Many of our staff members and guests sustained significant damage to their homes and remain without power. Together with our partners, we feel the best decision is to cancel this weekend’s event.”

“We were very much looking forward to gathering safely for an evening of music and new memories with our Cedar Rapids fans and families, “ said Mike Love of The Beach Boys. “Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with all Iowans as they recover from derecho 2020. We look forward to returning soon, until then, please be well and take great care of each other.”

Guests should contact the U.S. Cellular Center ticket office with questions. Please note due to the recent storm in Cedar Rapids, phones at the ticket office are not operational. Guests may contact the ticket office via the CREventsLive website.

In order to help protect our guests and staff, face coverings will be required for all ticket holders and staff. Once guests have reached their seat, they may remove their face covering, but kindly ask that face coverings be worn when not in your seat, including visiting concessions stands, restrooms, exiting, etc.
Keep your distance from other groups as much as possible throughout the event. We have reconfigured our seating charts at all four venues to allow for at least 6 feet of distance between groups while they are in their seats. We kindly ask when you leave your seat, to be mindful of others and keep your distance.

If you are sick or have been in direct contact with someone who has been sick, please stay home.
