U.S. Cellular Center Announces Live at the 5

Weekly concert series to feature local bands

(CEDAR RAPIDS, IA) - VenuWorks of Cedar Rapids, the management company that oversees operations for the McGrath Amphitheatre, Paramount Theatre, ImOn Ice and U.S. Cellular Center, announced the Live at the 5 concert series today. The weekly concert series will start Thursday, July 30th and run through September 24th at the U.S. Cellular Center and will feature local bands in the venue’s Club 5 setup.

Admission to the event will be $5 at the door or reservations will be accepted through CREventsLive.com. All guests will be expected to follow guidelines outlined in the venue’s Return to Live plan including wearing face coverings when not at a person’s designated table, maintaining distance between groups and staying home if sick or if a person has had contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19. The venue has also significantly reduced the capacity of the Club 5 setup to a quarter of what it can typically hold, in addition to other health and safety measures.

“We are excited to slowly and safely bring live events back to Cedar Rapids,” said Michael Silva, executive director of VenuWorks Cedar Rapids. “As outlined in our Return to Live plan, we have taken extensive steps to protect the health of our guests and venue staff; we have created a safe environment to once again enjoy live music.”
