Ticket Office Manager

VenuWorks of Cedar Rapids is seeking immediately a full time professional for the position of Ticket Office Manager. This salaried management position will oversee all ticket office operations for the Alliant Energy PowerHouse and McGrath Amphitheatre, as well as for limited special events at the ImOn Ice Arena. VenuWorks operates in a dynamic environment in hosting premier national entertainment in these venues, and this position will be required to work a combination of daily office in addition to assigned events taking place in the evenings and on weekends.

This position will be primarily responsible for building events and selling tickets using the Ticketmaster electronic ticketing platform. The Ticket Office Manager will supervise the training, scheduling and performance of ticket office staff, and will assure the proper accounting of all money and tickets for events. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the interpersonal and communication skills necessary to provide outstanding customer service to staff, national and local promoters and clients, and patrons with the ability to mediate conflict and resolve customer complaints.

Benefits, 401K retirement plan and insurance offered. Salary will be based upon work experience and education. Qualifications: Bachelor degree from a four-year college or university in sports management, marketing, communications or related fields; or at least two years related experience and/or training in any aforementioned field. Demonstrated experience in electronic ticketing as well as supervising and leading part-time or volunteer staff will be required.
