VenuWorks of Cedar Rapids is an event-based management company that is proud to operate 4 fantastic venues in the heart of our community: Alliant Energy PowerHouse, Paramount Theatre, ImOn Ice Arena, and the McGrath Amphitheater.

We provide our patrons with a diverse schedule of events including: high volume concerts (rock, country, blues, faith based), sporting events (NCAA volleyball, wrestling, basketball, volleyball), Broadway shows, comedians, RoughRiders Hockey, children’s shows, local talent, and so much more!

We depend on our dedicated and enthusiastic team members to ensure all of events are successful and our patrons enjoy their experience. Customer service is our priority!

We offer a flexible schedule to our part time team members who want to keep active and earn extra money. Dependent of our scheduled events we require our team members to work 4 shifts per month to stay active on our rosters.

All positions require standing/walking during shifts. All positions require availability during day/night/weekend shifts.

ImOn Ice – Learn to Skate Instructor: Wages start at $16.00 per lesson

Candidates for skate instructors are focused on customer service and must be able to skate forward/backward with proficiency. Responsibilities include: instructing students on the correct techniques found within each skill level based on the Learn To Skate curriculum.

Requires ice skating during entirety of shift. Availability needed for shifts during day/night/weekends. Must have completed an 8-week Learn to Skate session teaching as a volunteer.

Concession Stand Cook: Wages start at $14.00 per hour

Candidates for cook are focused on preparing hot/cold food using proper safety regulations in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include: Prepares all food orders given by management, keeps all stations clean and sanitary. Experience cooking with grills, fryers, pizza ovens, etc.

Position requires previous experience working in a fast-paced kitchen and knowledge of sanitary food preparation rules/regulations. Requires standing/walking during entirety of shift and working at our indoor and outdoor venues. Availability needed for shifts during days/evenings/weekends.

Operations / Janitorial Staff: Wages start at $14.00 per hour

Candidates for operations/janitorial are focused on general maintenance, conversions, and janitorial services for all venues. Responsibilities include: setting up/tearing down (conversion) of chair seating arrangements, risers, sports floors (volleyball, wrestling, basketball). Sweeps, mops, cleans, restocks supplies in all restrooms, offices, concourses, and collects trash can liners for dumpsters.

Position requires heavy lifting, physical labor, and standing/walking during shifts. Availability needed for shifts during day/night/overnight/weekends.
