SCORE THE BEST TICKETS

CREATE AN ACCOUNT

When buying online, create a Ticketmaster account to speed up your purchasing process.

ONE BROWSER

Only use one website browser and don't refresh your screen more than every 2-3 seconds. If you do, Ticketmaster may tag you as an automated ticket buying program and lock you out.

GOOGLE CHROME IS YOUR FRIEND

If you are using a website browser, use Google Chrome. It is the most compatible with Ticketmaster online.

BEST AVAILABLE IS BEST

During on-sales, always search for "Best Available" instead of trying to specifically choose your seats.

KEEP CHECKING

Ticket purchases are timed. When someone declines or times out, those tickets are thrown back into the pool. Even if tickets seem to be gone immediately, there may be more in just a few minutes. Sometimes tours open up additional tickets throughout the show run as well, so if it sells out immediately, check back every few weeks!

Secondary Ticket Market & Ticket Scamming

Ticketmaster is the official ticketing partner of the Alliant Energy PowerHouse or McGrath Amphitheatre. That means Ticketmaster is the only authorized retailer of tickets for either venue, sold at our ticket office and online at Ticketmaster.com.

Purchasing tickets from any other source means your tickets are from the secondary market or a scammer. Secondary ticket markets make it appear that they have special access to the best seats. However, in reality, all they are doing is purchasing tickets from the either venue and reselling them to you at a markup. Even when the secondary ticket market is operating within the law, you still pay more than you need to and not one cent of the markup goes to the artist or venue, who invested the time and money to make the show possible in the first place.

There are also unscrupulous vendors who will sell you outright fraudulent tickets. Ticket scams happen when a scammer uses tickets as bait to steal your money. The scammer will sell fake tickets. Or you will pay for a ticket but never receive it. Ticket scams are common, especially when popular concerts, plays, and sporting events sell out. Scammers take advantage of the situation by:

  • Charging prices much higher than the face value of a ticket
  • Creating counterfeit tickets with forged barcodes and logos of real ticket companies
  • Selling duplicates of a legitimate ticket and emailing it to several buyers
  • Pretending to sell tickets online to steal your credit card information

Buying tickets anywhere other than directly from the Alliant Energy PowerHouse Ticket Office or online at Ticketmaster.com is extremely risky. If there is anything wrong with your order, the venue cannot help you because we have no way to guarantee or validate those tickets. You risk being denied admission as well as being denied refunds and/or exchanges if it is found to be fraudulent.

DO

  • Buy tickets at the venue ticket office OR from authorized ticketing partners. Ticketmaster is the official ticketing partner of the Alliant Energy PowerHouse and McGrath Amphitheatre.
  • Type in the URL directly to ensure you are reaching the venue website (www.creventslive.com). Some scammers create phony websites that closely resemble authentic ticket company websites.
  • Use a credit card to purchase tickets. Your credit card offers protections if you need to dispute a charge.

DO NOT

  • Don’t automatically trust online search results for ticket sellers. Search results can include paid ads, sellers that charge high fees, and scams.
  • Don’t wire transfer money or use a prepaid money card to pay for tickets.
  • Don’t meet an individual ticket seller alone or in a low-traffic area.
  • Don’t pay before seeing the tickets.

When in doubt, call the Alliant Energy PowerHouse ticket office at 319-731-4510.
Our team will be happy to assist!
