Your nonprofit can earn money while enjoying the excitement of various events at the Alliant Energy PowerHouse, McGrath Amphitheatre and ImOn Ice Arena. The Alliant Energy PowerHouse and outdoor venue, McGrath Amphitheatre, hosts a variety of rock, country, Christian, and local talent concerts. We also host rodeos, circuses, comedians and a variety of sporting events throughout the year. The ImOn Ice Arena hosts Rough Rider hockey games, curling clubs, figure skating competitions and more.
Groups must supply VenuWorks of Cedar Rapids L.L.C. an updated certificate of liability insurance, W-9 before being scheduled to work an event.
Opportunities include:Concessions Stand Groups: work during events operating a designated food/beverage concession stand at one of our four venues.
Duties can include:
- Serving and selling beer, pop, water, snacks and prepared food
- Keeping stands stocked with essential items
- Handling cash and credit card transactions
- General cleaning of stand after closing
Cleaning Services Groups: assist before and after events.
Duties can include:
- Pick up and removal of trash
- Sweeping/mopping of designated areas
- Restocking bathrooms with necessary product
- General janitorial duties
- Set up/ tear down chairs
- Other various duties as assigned
